Exploring the Continents of the World

From mountain peaks to deserts, ancient structures to modern feats of engineering, the world is full of incredible places to discover! Help your kids explore more than 100 famous places and learn to locate each of them on a map. Discover fascinating facts about important historical figures, including Johann Sebastian Bach, John Calvin, Leonardo da Vinci, Martin Luther, Leif the Lucky and much more with Exploring the Continents of the World, a Notebook Companion™ to the Children’s Atlas of God’s World by Master Books, sold separately.

For each continent, students will:

• record facts they learn
• list the countries and/or territories and label them on a map
• sketch one or more famous landmarks and write about it

For each of the 22 countries explored, students will:

• record facts they learn
• complete a table of facts about the country including capital city, government system, primary languages, population, monetary unit, area, national symbol, national anthem, and largest city
• sketch one or more famous landmarks and write about it
• label the country’s capital on a map and the location of each of the famous places they learned about
• answer notebooking questions about what they have read

This is the perfect opportunity for students to practice written narration and reinforce the information being covered in their world geography studies.

Along with learning about each continent in the world and some of the countries found in each continent, students will discover hundreds of interesting facts about people and places around the world, including the topics below.
