Calming the Storm Unit Study

Product Description

Bring the account of Yeshua calming the storm to life with this 21-page PDF Unit Study for Grades 3-6. Explore Mark 4:35-41 as students learn what happened when a storm struck while Yeshua and His disciples crossed the Sea of Galilee. Discover what His command over the wind and sea reveals about His authority and the importance of trusting Him.

A Lesson Plan, Weekly Teaching Outline, and Resource Checklist help parents and teachers prepare and guide learning. Use the resource as a stand-alone Bible lesson, a one-week homeschool unit, a classroom supplement, or a family discipleship study.

Students read and retell the Bible account, complete a Bible quiz and word-search puzzle, and color a Scripture page featuring Mark 4:39. A Sea of Galilee comprehension worksheet introduces the setting, while a fishing boat identification activity explores parts of a first-century boat. A disciple-name unscramble helps students learn the names of the twelve disciples and discuss what it meant to be a disciple in ancient Israel.

Critical-thinking questions and composition-book prompts encourage students to explain their understanding and consider ways to trust Yeshua during uncertain circumstances. Activities strengthen vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and Bible knowledge while exploring faith and discipleship.

Children create a bookmark and take part in a storm-in-a-bottle object lesson to reinforce learning. A handy Answer Key supports review and discussion.
