Daily Skill Building: Spelling Grade 7 Companion 2nd Edition

Sample: Try a full week for free!

Daily Skill Building: Spelling is a complete 36-week spelling curriculum created as a companion for our Daily Skill Building: Vocabulary Series.

This full-year spelling resource is designed to work hand-in-hand with the vocabulary words your student is already learning. Each week, your child will practice spelling the same vocabulary words—plus their synonyms and antonyms.

By weaving in review of familiar words, students reinforce meaning and usage while improving spelling skills. It’s a well-rounded approach to word mastery that builds confidence in both writing and communication.

How It Works

Daily Skill Building: Spelling follows a simple 5-day weekly schedule. Each week includes:

  • Spelling words drawn from Daily Skill Building: Vocabulary
  • Corresponding synonyms and antonyms
  • Printable activities and practice pages
  • Opportunities for review and retention

Your student will complete daily assignments that include spelling practice, writing the words in sentences, and other exercises that encourage them to really understand and use the words—not just memorize them.

There’s no teacher’s guide needed, and everything is laid out clearly so your student can work independently. Just open and go!

What’s Included

  • 36 weeks of spelling lessons
  • Words pulled directly from the vocabulary curriculum
  • Daily practice pages and review
  • Synonyms and antonyms for extended learning
  • Printables for extra reinforcement
  • Optional instructions for stand-alone use

We’ve even included guidance if you want to use the spelling curriculum without the vocabulary program—though they work best as a team!

Build Spelling Confidence

This companion resource doesn’t just teach spelling—it helps your child become a better writer and a stronger communicator. As your student works through the lessons, they’ll expand their vocabulary, grow in confidence, and improve their writing naturally through daily practice.

By combining spelling, vocabulary, and dictionary skills, this program builds a solid foundation for academic success.

Pair Daily Skill Building: Spelling with Daily Skill Building: Vocabulary and watch your student’s word skills soar!

  1. Lindsey Stomberg

My eldest is entering high school this year and went through this program in middle school. Now that she is writing papers all the time, I am so thankful that I brought her through the Daily Skill Building spelling and vocabulary program. It is obvious in her writing that this program boosted her ability to communicate properly and eloquently. Thanks, Daily Skill Building!

  2. Cassie Mojica

Spelling is still an essential skill even with all the different kinds of spelling checks available. Your child will review daily his spelling words created from the vocabulary portions of this curriculum. Both programs work together well. They reflect back on each other by reinforcing the spelling and definitions of the current words learned. This is an open and go program for motivated students. It could be used in a traditional school setting or homeschool setting. I plan on using this with my current 7th grader with the spelling and vocabulary portions together.

I have received this book for free and the opinions expressed above are my own.
