This is a cool notebook for studying the United States! The book Only in America: the Weird and Wonderful 50 States goes with this notebook companion and has amazing and weird facts about each state. There are so many FACTS to be found in this amazing book! The notebook starts with places to put in some basic information on the United States as a whole, then it gets into each individual state. You can choose to draw or write and make this notebook your own. I would say this book can be used with kids 3rd grade and up. This is NOT a complete curriculum on its own, but it would be a great way to engage the kids’ interests and hook them on the topic of US Geography. This would be great use of supplemental material to any US geography curriculum. This is such a fun and engaging resource! I love these notebooking companions! I look forward to seeing what else you bring out! Great job!

This is such a wonderful addition to any history or geography curriculum. We really enjoyed all the fun and interesting facts for each state. The Notebook Companion is a perfect way to journal the fun. There are 3 worksheets per state. There is a place to answer questions, draw, and mark a map. The beginning starts with the USA before going into each state and ends with a fun Scavenger Hunt. The Bonus Research pages were a big hit with my daughter.

I love this book and notebook companion! This is such a fun book–books should be like this always. Young children enjoy absorbing facts. Bonus if those facts are quirky and offbeat. I am very intrigued by the “state slang” portion in the notebook. The reinforcement of mapwork is excellent. There is a scavenger hunt at the end to squeeze out the goodness in the book.

There are both ruled lines and big spaces for writing and drawing.

If you purchase the bundle (50 States Notebook Series), the bonus lesson plan is helpful to pace the books and notebooks for one school year.
