This has been a fun curriculum! We really enjoy learning about plants and animals and appreciate how much material is covered. The text guide is easy to read and the student pages follow along nicely. Students start out by answering questions from the text guide and then they choose to research a plant or animal of their choice. Near the end of the Student pages there are Habitat Templates and Extension Activities. When purchasing the World Geography and History, this can be purchased as an add-on. The plants and animals follow along with Volume 3. The introduction has a guide to show you how to use both curriculum alongside each other. This can be purchased on it’s own and done as a stand alone. The World Geography and History is for grade 5-8, while this is for 3rd and up.

This curriculum can be used together with World Geography & History Volume Three as the places covered are the same. Or you can also use it by itself–they are not a prerequisite to each other. I love this structure because it delves deeper into a specific location giving the student a more thorough understanding of an area. I never knew that there are so many different kinds of plants and animals to talk about in a place. The student book is likewise comprehensive. I love the answer key at the back. Like World Geography & History, it has its own scope and sequence that acts as your guide in planning out the lessons–very easy to use!
