This bundle contains volume 3 of each of the “World Geography & History” and “Discovering Plants & Animals of the World” curricula, covering Oceania, Canada, Latin America and Antarctica, as well as other regions. Both curricula comprise a downloadable textbook and student pages and cover the same countries in the same order, so they can easily be studied alongside each other.
The “World Geography & History” text is so interesting and engaging, I could not put it down! The student pages are packed with comprehension questions (answers in the back), map work and flag outlines for each country, and many varied and interesting research and notebooking projects, for which there are great templates provided (covering people of history, rulers in history, famous landmarks, country study, events that changed the world).
My ten year old was immediately drawn to the plants and animals textbook and is keen to take this course after looking at lesson 1. Each lesson gives fascinating information about the plants and animals of a particular country or region, with comprehension questions provided in the student pages (answers also in the back). Other tasks include conducting further research on your choice of plants and animals mentioned in the lesson, recording interesting facts about them and creating fact files, for which there are also great templates in the back. The student pages further list many interesting research projects as extension activities (they’re great!), which will provide more opportunities to dig deeper and refine research skills.
We love the idea of studying the history and geography of a country alongside its plants and animals and this World Geography, History & Science Volume 3 bundle, makes it easy to do so. (I would love a recommended book list to go with it!). At almost 1,500 pages in total, it is packed with interesting facts, engaging projects and fantastic templates, as well as helpful information on how to use the curricula.
